Happy New Year!!!

I can’t believe I’m still up.  I got all caught up on working with some projects I started earlier this morning.

Here’s a quick sneak peak of some of the things in the works…

and in these wonderful towers of bowls and plates are more projects either almost ready to go or in the works.  This is a photo of my think tank center.  Below them are 2 units that hold various baubles from jewelry pieces, to watch parts, buttons and more silverware pieces.candleholdertowers

New Broken China Jewelry Bracelet

So what have been up to lately.  We spent a few days just before the holidays without electricity.  Then we had to play catch up with shopping and preparing for Christmas Day.  Amazingly it was all accomplished and the Holiday was absolutely wonderful.  Then we had a mini blizzard.  This storm wasn’t as bad as the previous one.  I guess all the trees and branches that wanted to fall off were already down.  So we didn’t lose any power.  And today we had a second mini blizzard of snow.  Absolutely beautiful.  But it sure is cold outside.

We spent most of the day inside creating new items.  We have some Valentine pieces ready to photographed and then listed.  Also some new rhinestone embellished pieces along with some gorgeous shadow box charms and pendants.  They look much better than they’re being described.  Later on tonight I’ll be listing a new broken china bracelet in the store and give you some more details on upcoming events, etc.

Since publishing this article we’ve updated the piece to give it a bit more pizzazz.  No need to worry if you had your eyes on it before.  The price is still the same but I think you’ll be more pleased with the overall loveliness…

Broken China Rings

When we first found these rings we knew exactly what we were going to use them for… broken china.  We were able to purchase quite a few from a seller who had these for nearly 30 years.  So the rings themselves are absolutely vintage.

The coloring is luxurious and gives a stately elegance to each piece.  And each ring has an open back leaving them adjustable to any ring size.
I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as we do.  They truly are lovely.

New Alice in Wonderland Pendants

More classic black and white/ivory items.  This time with an Alice in Wonderland theme.  We’ve done 6 different pendants although 3 have the same image.

While the backs all look the same the sayings of course are different.  The first pendant says “Does it look like I’m kidding…really… does it?”.  The second “Dream a lil’ dream…what a wonderful dream it will be”.  The third “Another bad hair day…And yet I’m still wonderfully beautiful”.  The fourth “Queen for a day…and it suits me wonderfully”.  The fifth “I always say…the most wonderfully brilliant things”.  The sixth “if the hat fits…of course I should wear it”.

Each piece measures about 1/2″ by 3″ inch long and is perfect for layering items such as our new script black and ivory round items.

You can find them Here

Lovely New Letters

We’ve been working on more of the classic black and white/ivory series.  Today we finished off several letters that are slightly larger (approximately 3/4″ round) and more formal than the last.  The letters are in script with a back of damask styling.

And lastly we did a plain series with the same damask back.

Adding Pendants to a Chunk Chain Necklace

is a nice way to display your collection of larger pieces.  It can get somewhat heavy at times but still it’s a wonderful way to show off your unique character.

You may also consider adding charms to a chain belt.  We recently purchased a few at a local antiques boutique and willl be listing them in our new “vintage jewelry finds” category, shortly.

For the Birds-Open theme Charm Swap

We were able to participate in several charm swaps this quarter.  Here’s a sampling of the open theme charm swap.  We chose a tiny bird image for the front and a small flower with the word “fly” on the back.  The charms created for these swaps are always limited edition.  Only 15 were made and as soon as possible we’ll post the charms we receive in return.
