time to play…Digital Collage & Scrapbooking

Enhancing digital images has always been one of my fave art experiments, starting when my dad brought home his 1st digital camera with free photo editing software.  The software designed to help businesses set up e-banners and web pages was my introduction to the power of digital creativity.  Little did I know, what I was doing would become an arts & crafts phenomenon.

J’adore is French for “I adore”

The J’adore kit is the 1st set of our new Digital Goods series.  Inspired by the trend of scrapbooking this kit will offer you endless possibilities to personalize and handcraft unique heartfelt treasures.

It began with the frame scanned from a vintage card & surrounded with elements of vintage beauty… from rhinestone buttons, earrings and other jewelry bits such as lovely pearl strands.   It’s topped off with some word art, digital tags and ephemera bits to add flare.

The world of digital collage and scrapbooking is a modern trend and a fascinating and cleverly creative place.  With each kit we create we desire to focus our attention on a unique digital representation of antique and vintage inspired offerings.   We hope you’ll come along and play…

Spring is Here and with it’s arrival 2 lovely new One of a Kind Handmade Jewelry Necklaces created using new and recycled items have been added to the collection.

Mom Pink Pearl pendant. This pendant is created using vintage papers sandwiched between 2 plates of thick glass.  They are held together with a high quality lead free solder frame.  The pendant hangs from a 24″ 2.4mm silver plate ball chain and is embellished with a few freshwater and mop pearls.  The pendant measures approximate 1x.75 inches.

Cream & Black Friends Charm Bracelet. A chunk chain bracelet lavished with tiny cream pearlesque drops from a vintage necklace once broken but now with new purpose.  7 mini initial charms spell out the word -Friends.  Each created using small glass drops encased in a high quality lead free silver solder frame.  Small black glass dangles (also from broken jewelry now repurposed) are scattered throughout.

Brass Filigree Ring. A whimsical ring that defies the traditional but remains a classic.  Our brass flower ring is made with a vintage brass flower stamping set atop a vintage brass colored filigree ring.  The ring is adjustable to fit most fingers.  The center flower is filled with a small watch part set with epoxy resin.

Newbies…

Resembling the vintage ephemera look of eras gone by, our new set of initials are created with a printing press feel.  Each fancy script letter sits in the center of a ornate shield with a lion at the top.  The regal print is enhanced with a gorgeous criss cross pattern to compliment the back.  The coloring a light manila cream lends elegant beauty to each piece.

From the printing press to the sewing machine… we are able to present another stunning beauty to you.  Working on some of our vintage needlework fabric pieces we came across this gorgeous vintage lace and knew it deserved a showcase of its own.  Absolutely beautiful encased between 2 panes of glass and a lead free silver solder frame, the piece hangs from a 24″ 2.4mm ball chain.
