It’s my motto and you’re welcome to use this and my other twitter buttons on your site and blogs too. To find the other buttons check out the Free Graphics offered in the column on the left.
What’s Twitter?
Twitter is almost like a huge mini-blog/chat room experience. You’re welcome to join the service for free and begin following the posts of writers who “tweet”/comment on subjects you’re interested in. One of the best ways to find people to follow is to do a search for a topic that interests you. You’ll receive a bunch of recent comments with that topic listed and a link to the author who posted it. You can then read their mini/micro–blog page to determine if they’re someone you’d want to “follow”/receive constant updates from.As you begin to follow individual authors they’ll often follow you back. They’ll receive your updates as you receive theirs.
On the side of each “tweet” you have an option to directly reply back to the author. And this is where the “chat” room experience comes in. You can often find yourself contributing directly in conversations to help or be helped. There are other communication options available in twitter. But overall I’d say Twitter is a great social networking site for finding “new” people from around the globe who are interested in chatting about the same topics you’re interested in. This is what makes it much different from Facebook.
Why follow me on Twitter?
If you like creative handmade arts and crafts ventures then you may find my tweets interesting. I tend to tweet about the new products I’ve listed, the sales & events I’m having, my latest blog posts. I also introduce new and amazing artists, connect suppliers with those needing supplies, and overall try to be helpful and encouraging to the artists and handcraft entrepreneurs. If you’re a bird of that feather- Come follow me.
Will I follow you back?
Probably… but I tend to follow only those people who are artists or handcraft entrepreneurs. I don’t tend to follow business opportunity sellers, or spiritual gurus. I do check profiles & tweets before I follow. My main goal is “not to be spammed with stuff I’m not interested in”. BTW- if you like the artists and handcraft entrepreneur, if you’re looking for amazing & not mass produced gifts and such topics you can find a great list of author’s to follow by reviewing my “following” list.
If you join do you have to Tweet everyday?
not at all. If you just want to stay up to date on what’s going on then feel free to follow those whose “tweets” interest you and leave it at that. Just remember with the “reply” back button you’re always welcome to chat or post a question to any of the “tweets” you receive.
